Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18 June 2026
These terms govern your use of thesehandsmadeit.com and any purchase you make from These Hands Made It (Fiona Whyte, central Portugal). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. The website
We try to keep all content accurate and up to date, but the site is provided “as is”. Colours of artwork may appear differently on different screens. We may change or remove content at any time.
2. Intellectual property
All artwork, images, writing and designs on this site are the property of Fiona Whyte and are protected by copyright. Unauthorised use, reproduction or distribution is not permitted. For licensing or reproduction enquiries, please contact us.
3. Products & pricing
Each piece is handmade and one of a kind, so slight natural variations are part of the work. We aim to describe and photograph items accurately. Prices are shown in the currency listed at checkout and include any taxes where applicable. We reserve the right to correct errors and to change prices before an order is placed.
4. Orders & payment
When you place an order you make an offer to buy. A contract is formed once we confirm and accept your order. Payment is taken securely via Stripe and/or PayPal; we do not store your card details. If an item is unavailable after you order, we will let you know and refund you in full.
5. Delivery
We will agree delivery times and costs at or before checkout. Delivery timescales are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
6. Returns & your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have the right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving it and return it for a refund, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Returned items must be unused and in their original condition. Please note that bespoke or commissioned pieces made to your specification may be exempt from this right. To start a return, email hello@thesehandsmadeit.com.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or our products.
8. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
